BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING OOMMISSION RECOMMENDING
AMENDMENTS TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN
FROM R1-10 (LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, LESS THAN 3.5 UNITS
PER GROSS ACRE) TO R1-8 AND R1-9 (LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL,
LESS THAN 4.5 UNITS PER GROSS ACRE) }~R CERTAIN AREAS OF
THE CITY OF CAr4PBELL KNOWN AS SAN TOMAS, DISCUSSION AREA
1 (GP 83-11) .
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed
City-initiated amendments to the Land Use Element of the General Plan
from Low Density desidential (less than 3.5 units per gross acre) to
Low Density Residential (less than 4.5 units per gross acre) for cer-
tain areas of the City of Campbell known as San Tomas, and after pre-
sentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the
hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning
Commission does find as follows:
1. The proposed Low Density Residential land use would be
compatible with the existing development.
2. The proposed changes are in the best interest of the City
of Campbell.
The Planning Commission does hereby adopt a resolution recommending that
the City Council adopt the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit A making
effective the proposed amendments.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of November 1983 by the following roll
call vote:
