PC Res 2198RESOLUTION N0. 2198 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING OOMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A CHANGE TO THE ZONING MAP AS SHOWN IN EXHIBIT A FOR CERTAIN AREAS OF SAN TOMAS, SUB-AREAS 2 AND 3, DISCUSSION AREAS 5 AND 6 (CITY-INITIATED, ZC 83-03). After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed amend- ments to the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the Planning Commission did determine that the change as shown in Exhibit A, attached, should be made to the Zoning Map based on the following findings: 1. The proposed zone change is consistent with the Land Use Element of the General Plan which shows "Low Density Residential" and"Multiple Family Residential" for the subject properties. 2. The proposed zone changes would-allow the zorting in the area to be consistent with surrounding properties; and, to protect the larger lot sizes in the area. 3. The proposed zone changes will not be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of the persons residing or working in the neighborhood of such zone changes or be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood or the general welfare of the City. 4. The proposed zone change is consistent with the Land Use Element. The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City Counci.l~enact the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit A making effective the recommended changes to the Zoning Map.
