PC Res 2196RESOLUTION NO. 2196 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING THAT ZONING NOT BE CHANGED FOR CERTAIN AREAS OF SAN TOMAS, SUBAREAS 2 AND 3, DISCUSSION AREAS 1 AND 2 (CITY INITIATED, ZC 83-03). After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed amend- ments to the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the Planning Commission did de- termine that the changes as shown in Exhibit A, attached, should not be made to the Zoning Map based on the following findings: 1. The proposed zone changes would be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of the per- sons residing or working in the neighborhood of such zone changes and be detrimental or injurious to property and im- provements in the neighborhood or the general welfare of the Clty. 2. The proposed zone changes would not facilitate improvements in the area. 3. The Planning Commission recommends that consideration be given to increasing the densities allowable in the present Land Use Element of the General Plan of properties directly addressing themselves to San Tomas Aquino Road. The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City Council does not enact an ordinance making effective the zone changes proposed in the attached Exhibit A.
