PC Res 2187PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION N0. 2187 After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed amend- ments to the Campbell Municipal Code to include Chapter 20.22 (Park Dedica- tion), and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponent and oppo- nent, the hearing was closed (TA 83-03). After due consideration of all evidence presented, and based upon the follow- ing findings, the Commission did determine that there was not a significant need to amend the Campbell Municipal Code by adding Chapter 20.22: 1. The proposed addition of Chapter 20.22 (Park Dedication) allowing the collection of fees for parks under the "Quimby Act" will cause an additional increase in the already exorbitant cost of housing. 2. Because of this additional cost to housing, the proposed amendment will be detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort, or general welfare of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of such proposed use, or be detrimental or injurious to property and improvements in the neighborhood or to the general welfare of the City. The Planning Commission does hereby recommend that the City Council not adopt the attached proposed draft of Chapter 20.22 (Park Dedication) as an addition to the Campbell Municipal Code.
