PLANNING COMMISSION
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A CHANGE TO
THE ZONING MAP AS SHOWN IN EXHIBIT "A", SUB AREA 1 -
AREAS 1-4 (CITY-INITIATED, ZC 83-01).
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed amend-
ments to the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell and after presentation by
the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the Planning Connni.ssion
did determine that the change as shown in Exhibit "A", Subarea 1 - Areas 1-4,
attached, should be made to the Zoning Map based on the following findings:
1. The proposed zone changes are consistent with the Land Use
Element of the General Plan which shows "Single Family
Residential" for the subject properties.
2. The proposed zone changes from R-1 to R1-8, R1-10, and
R1-16 would allow the maintenance of larger-than-normal
lot sizes in the San Tomas Area.
3. The proposed zone changes will not be detrimental to the
health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare
of the persons residing or working in the neighborhood of
such zone change or be detrimental or injurious to property
and improvements in the neighborhood or the general welfare
of the City.
4, The proposed zone changes are consistent with the Land Use
Element of the General Plan,
The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell reco~nnends that the City
Council enact the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit A, making effective
the recommended changes to the Zoning Map.

call vote:
