PC Res 2161RESOLUTION N0. 2161
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL
OF PLANS, ELEVATIONS, AND DEVELOPMENT SCHEDULE
AND CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION
OF AN OFFICE BUILDING AT 1550 S. WINCHESTER BLVD.
IN A CPD (CONDOMINIUM PLANNED DEVELOPMENT)
ZONING DISTRICT. (APPLICATION OF MR. AL
SWEARINGEN, ZC 82-07.)
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the application
of Mr. Al Swearingen for approval of plans, elevations, development schedule
and conditions of approval for the construction of a 6,000 sq.ft. office
building on property located at 1550 S. Winchester Blvd., as per the applica-
tion filed in the office of the Planning Department, 75 N. Central Avenue,
Campbell, California on November 17, 1982, and after presentation by the
Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all the evidence presented, the Planning Commission
did find as follows:
7. That the proposed construction of an office building would
be compatible with the existing uses in the immediate area
and would be compatible with the Land Use Element of the
General Plan which indicates "Commercial."
2. This development is similar to recent approvals for zone
changes to CPD for condominium office developments.
3. The proposed zone change will not be detrimental to the
health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare
of the persons residing or working in the neighborhood of
such zone change, or be detrimental or injurious to pro-
perty and improvements in the neighborhood or the general
welfare of the City.
The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the City
Council enact the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit A making effective
the recommended zone change.
