ORDINANCE NO. 2121
BEING AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL AMENDING CAMPBELL MUNICIPAL
CODE CHAPTER 2.37 ENTITLED BUILDING BOARD OF
APPEALS
The City Council of the City of Campbell does ordain as follows:
SECTION ONE: The following provisions of the Campbell Municipal Code are hereby
amended as follows:

Absence from Building Board of Appeals.
Absence for cause.
2.37.020 Terms of Office. Building Board of Appeals members shall be appointed to
indefinite four-year terms. Vacancies shall be filled in the manner set forth in City
Council Policy. Vacancies occurring otherwise than by expiration of term shall be filled
in the manner set forth in the California Government Code Section 54974 for the
unexpired term of the commissioner leaving the commission. Board Members may be
removed by a majority vote of the legislative body. (Ord. 1705 S2, 1988).
2.37.030 Duties--Responsibilities. In order to hear and decide Appeals of orders
of the Building Official relative to the application and interpretation of various
codes, a Board of Appeals is appointed by the governing body who are qualified
by experience and training to pass on matters pertaining to building construction.
SECTION TWO: This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days following its
passage and adoption shall be published once within fifteen (15) days upon passage
and adoption in the Campbell Express, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
Campbell, County of Santa Clara, State of California
