BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL MAKING THE INTERPRETATION
THAT A PROPOSED USE (RESULTS FACIAL & BODY CARE
CLINIC) IS A COMPATIBLE USE UNDER THE CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT ADOPTED FOR THE CAMPBELL COMMUNITY
CENTER LOCATED AT 1 W. CAMPBELL AVENUE IN A PF
(PUBLIC FACILITIES) ZONING DISTRICT.
After notification and public heating, as specified by law, and after presentation by the
Community Development Director, proponents and opponents, the heating was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission did find as
follows with respect to this application.
The proposed facial and body care business is compatible with other semi-public uses
as allowed in the PF (Public Facilities) zoning district and other uses as permitted in a
previously-approved Use Permit (UP 80-18) for the subject site.
The proposed use will complement and support the fitness and health programs
offered at the Community Center by providing additional services to further personal
health, fitness and body care.
3. The tenant space for the proposed use will not exceed 600 square feet.
The proposed use will abide by the following hours of operation: Tuesday, 10 a.m. to
5 p.m.; Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and
Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Permitting a facial and body care business use which complements and supports
fitness and health programs in a PF (Public Facilities) zoning district is in keeping
with the intent and purposes of this zoning district and the previously-approved Use
Permit.
Based upon the foregoing findings of fact, the Planning Commission further finds and
concludes that:
1. The proposed use would be compatible with the General Plan of the City and PF
(Public Facilities) zoning district.

The establishment, maintenance and operation of the proposed use will not be
detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort, or general welfare of persons
residing or working in the neighborhood of such use, or be detrimental or injurious to
the property and improvements, in the neighborhood or the general welfare of the
City.
3. The proposed use will aid in the harmonious development of the immediate area.

The applicant is hereby notified, as part of this application, that he/she is required to meet
the following conditions in accordance with the Ordinances of the City of Campbell and
the State of California. Additionally, the applicant is hereby notified that he/she is
required to comply with all applicable Codes or Ordinances of the City of Campbell and
the State of California that pertain to this development and are not herein specified.
Approved Project: Approval is granted for the establishment of a facial and skin care
business use which offers services to complement and support the Community
Center's fitness and health programs to further personal health, fitness and body care
at the Community Center. The tenant space for the business shall not exceed 600
square feet.
2. Building Division Requirements: Applicant shall comply with all Building Code
requirements and obtain necessary permits as determined by the Building Division.

Hours of Operation: Hours of operation are approved for Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.;
Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Fridays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and
Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
4. Business License: The business applicant shall apply for and receive approval of a
City of Campbell business license prior to operation of the business.
5. Massage Services: The applicant shall comply with Chapter 5.48 of the Campbell
Municipal Code pertaining to the provision of massage services.
Business Operation. The applicant shall operate and maintain this use in a manner
which is not objectionable, offensive or incompatible with surrounding uses.
Operation of this use in violation of the Planning Commission determination, Use
Permit or City of Campbell standards, codes and ordinances shall be grounds for
revocation of the approved use.
