RESOLUTION NO. 11090
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING
THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND
SOLAR FEASIBILITY STUDIES FOR CITY FACILITIES AND AUTHORIZING THE
PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AGREEMENT WITH THE SELECTED CONSULTANT
WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Energy has approved and provided funds for energy
efficiency efforts; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved a list of projects to be funded by Energy
Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) funds that include the hiring of an
energy consultant; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works staff has prepared a Request for Proposals to
select a consultant to prepare an energy efficiency and solar feasibility studies for City
facilities; and
WHEREAS, authorizing the Public Works Director to enter into a professional services
agreement with the selected consultant will result in expediting the consultant selection
process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the Public Works
Department to issue a Request for Proposals to hire a consultant for the solar feasibility
studies for City facilities and authorizes the Public Works Director to enter into a
professional services agreement with the selected consultant in an amount not to exceed
$40,000.
