RESOLUTION NO. 11097
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
FOR PROJECT 10-CC - CAMPBELL AVENUE PORTALS FEASIBILITY STUDY, AND
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH THE SELECTED CONSULTANT
WHEREAS, the VT A and Redevelopment Agency have approved and provided funds for
Project 10-CC - Campbell Avenue Portals; and
WHEREAS, the FY 2010-2014 Capital Improvement Program includes the Campbell
Avenue Portals Feasibility Project 10-CC; and
WHEREAS, City Council has indicated their desire to improve pedestrian and bicyclist
safety at the State Route 17 Overpass at Campbell Avenue and to provide a new gateway
portal to Historic Downtown Campbell; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works staff has prepared a Request for Proposals to
select a consultant for this project; and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Director will review and evaluate all proposals, determine
the best qualified consultant to complete the feasibility study, and negotiate a reasonable
Professional Service Agreement for these services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
authorizes the Public Works Department to issue a Request for Proposals for the Campbell
Avenue Portals Feasibility Project 10-CC and authorizes the Public Works Director to
negotiate and enter into a Professional Services Agreement with the selected consultant in
an amount not to exceed $75,000, and encumber a 10% design contingency of $7,500 for
a total not to exceed $82,500.
