RESOLUTION NO. 11099
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL COMMENDING CAPTAIN DAVID RAUSCHHUBER
ON HIS 29 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
WHEREAS, Captain Rauschhuber's career with the City of Campbell began as a Police Explorer in
1978; and
WHEREAS, Captain Rauschhuber became a Reserve Police Officer in 1980 and a Police Officer in June
1980; and
WHEREAS, Captain Rauschhuber was promoted to Agent in July 1984; Sergeant in March 1992; and
Captain in July 1996; and
WHEREAS, Captain Rauschhuber is currently the Captain of the Support Services Division having
served as Captain in all three divisions of the Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Captain Rauschhuber has served in many assignments including: Motorcycle Officer,
Training Officer, SWAT Officer, Detective, Narcotics Agent being cross-designated as an IRS Agent;
and
WHEREAS, Captain Rauschhuber has served on the Board of Directors of the California Association of
Tactical Officers, one of the largest SWAT organizations in the nation since 1998; and has served as the
Senior Project Manager and Vice Chair for the Silicon Valley Regional Interoperability Project
representing 18 Santa Clara County jurisdictions since 2001; and
WHEREAS, Captain Rauschhuber started the Tactical Medic Program for the SWAT Team in 1997 and
has been responsible for the management of the unit ever since; and
WHEREAS, Captain Rauschhuber has always had a commitment to providing excellent service to the
Campbell community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell recognizes and
commends Captain Rauschhuber on his retirement from the City of Campbell after 29 years of service.
