RESOLUTION NO. 11119
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING SOLICITATION
OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT - ORCHARD CITY BANQUET HALL
RENOVATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, Beverly Prior Architects has developed the final plans and specifications for
the Orchard City Banquet Hall Renovation Project; and
WHEREAS, the project has been designed to meet LEED Silver Certification
requirements; and
WHEREAS, the project is ready to be bid; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that project savings will be used to complete the
Winchester parking lot entryway and plaza for OCBH.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby:
1. Approves the plans and specifications for the Orchard City Banquet Hall
Renovation Project.
2. Authorizes solicitation of the bids, authorizes the Public Works Director to
determine the lowest reasonable and responsible bidder and award a construction
contract in an amount not to exceed $2,139,000 and encumber a 10% construction
contingency in an amount not to exceed $213,900 for a total amount not to exceed
$2,352,900.
3. Authorizes the Public Works Director to negotiate and execute contract change
orders up to and within the allocated contingency.
4. Authorizes staff to prepare a budget adjustment for use of up to $73,700 in
Pattison Funds as necessary for award of the construction contract.
