RESOLUTION NO. 11128
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE
A CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH MPA DESIGN FOR CONCEPTUAL
DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE ORCHARD CITY BANQUET HALL WINCHESTER
BOULEVARD PLAZA AND ENTRYWAY IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, on October 6, 2009, the Campbell City Council authorized the Public
Works Director to release a Request for Proposals from landscape architects for
improvements to the Orchard City Banquet Hall Winchester Boulevard Plaza and
Entryway; and
WHEREAS, proposals were solicited from three firms that were previously short listed
on the Stojanovich Family Park project; and
WHEREAS, proposals were received from MPA Design, Gates and Associates and
DCE; and
WHEREAS, after review and interviews, the firm of MPA Design was selected to
complete the project; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that project savings from the OCBH Project will be used to
complete improvements to the Winchester Boulevard Plaza and Entryway for OCBH.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the Public Works Director to negotiate and execute a consultant
services agreement with MPA Design in an amount not to exceed $25,000 and
encumber a 10% design contingency for a total contract amount not to exceed $27,500
for design services related to the Orchard City Banquet Hall Winchester Boulevard
Plaza and Entryway.
