RESOLUTION NO. 11134
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL CONGRATULATING HOBEE'S RESTAURANT
ON BEING SELECTED "2009 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR"
WHEREAS, Hobee's Restaurant was selected by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce
as "2009 Business of the Year" and will be honored at the Chamber's annual "Celebrate
Campbell" banquet on March 27, 2010; and
WHEREAS, Hobee's Restaurant was founded in 1974 by Paul Taber and his family in
Mountain View, and was firmly established as one of the leading restaurant chains in
California by 1990; and
WHEREAS, Hobee's Restaurant relocated from San Jose when the Town and Country
Mall was demolished in 1999 to its current location at the Campbell Pruneyard
Shopping Center; and
WHEREAS, Hobee's Restaurant prides itself on "being a motivated team of health-
conscious, community-minded individuals committed to the highest standards of food
quality and customer service;" and
WHEREAS, Hobee's Restaurant has contributed to a number of community based
organizations over the years including the American Cancer Society's Campbell Relay
for Life, EMQ Children and Family Services, the Country Woman's Club, and several
Campbell schools, and hosts several non-profit organizations including the Campbell
Kiwanis Club.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Campbell City Council congratulate
Hobee's Restaurant on being selected "2009 Business of the Year" and recognize the
many contributions Hobee's has made to the Campbell community.
