PLANNING COMMISSION
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed
amendments to the text of Chapter 21.50--Parking, Loading--of the
Campbell Municipal Code, and after presentation by the Planning
Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing was closed (TA 82-05).
After due consideration of all evidence presented and based upon the
following findings, the Commission did determine that there was a
significant need to amend Chapter 21.50--Parking, Loading--of the
Campbell Municipal Code:
1. That the proposed amendments waill make the City of
Campbell parking requirements more consistent with
those of neighboring corrunLmities.
2. That the proposed amendments are necessary to reflect
changes in the recent changes in the ratio of standard
size automobiles to compact cars.
3. That the proposed amenchr-ents will not be detrimental to the
health, safety, peace, morals, comfort, or general welfare
of persons residing or working in the neighborhood of such
proposed use, or be detrimental or injurious to property
and improvements in the neighborhood or to the general
welfare of the City.
The Planning Commission does hereby recommend that the City Council adopt
the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit A enacting the necessary legis-
lation to make the proposed text amendment effective.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of October, 1982 by the following roll
call vote:
