PLANNING COMMISSION
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the application
of Mr. George Snell on behalf of United Broadcasting Company fora use permit
to allow the construction of a 30 foot radio transmitter tower on the roof
of the building on property known as 399 N. Third Street in a C-1-S (Neighbor-
hood Commercial) Zoning District, as per application filed in the Office of
the Planning Department on June 18, 1982, and after presentation by the Planning
Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing was closed (UP 82-12).
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Commission did find as
follows:
That the establishment, maintenance, and operation of the
proposed use will not be detrimental to the health, safety,
peace, morals, comfort, or general welfare of persons re-
siding or working in the neighborhood of such use, or be
detrimental or injurious to the property and improvements
in the neighborhod or the general welfare of the city.
Based on the above findings, the Planning Commission does hereby grant the
requested use permit subject to the following conditions:
1. Obtain a building permit from the Building Department.
2. Tower is to be painted white.
3. Station to meet all FCC requirements.
The applicant is notified as part of this application that he is required to
comply with all applicable Codes or Ordinances of the City of Campbell and
Laws of the State of California which pertain to the development and are not
herein specified.

vote:
