PLANNING COMMISSION
RESOLUTION N0. 1902
BEING a Policy of the Planning Commission of the City of ..Campbell
regulating the redevelopment of properties on which an existing residential
structure is proposed to remain.
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Planning Commission
that the number of applications in which an existing residential building
is being included as part of a development plan is increasing; and
WHEREAS, the inclusion of an existing residential building as part
of a new development plan may create an apparent increase in deensity for
the proposed new residential development on the property,
N04J, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the Planning Commission of the
City of Campbell hereby recommends that the City Council adopt the following
policy statement far regulating the redevelopment of propertied on which
an existing residential .structure is proposed to remain as part of the
new site plan:
In the event an applicant desires to give an existing
unit more than its proportionate share. of land, such
allocation shall be 6,000 square feet and shall not
create a higher density than is allowed in the Zoning,
Ordinance when such disproportionate allocation is sub-
tracted, with usual public access, if applicable, from
that portion to be developed; otherwise, the area of
land allocated to each of the residential units, both'
existing and new, should be approximately equal.
