BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMPIISSIGN OF
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMP~ENDIPJG APPROVAL OF A
CHANGE TO THE ZONING P-1AP AS SHOl4~J IN EXHIBIT "A"
(APPLICATION OF CITY GF CAP~P~3ELL, ZC 80-4).
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed
amendments to the Zoning Map of the City of Campbell and after presentation
by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents; the Plannin Commission
did determine that the ci-ange as shown in E?;hibit "A"~ .~ttached~ should be
made to the Zoning P1ap based on t!?e 'C~_i ;:'.•J'.~'~ri?~u~ings: ',
1. The proposed zone change is consistent with the Land Ube
Element of the General Plan which shows "Low Density
Residential" for the subject property.
2. The proposed zone change to include the subject proper y in
the "H" (Historic Preservation) Overlay District would pro-
vide additional protection for the "F. M. Righter Hous "
which was built in 1896.
3. The proposed zone change will not be detrimental to the
health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welf re
of the persons residing or working in the neighborhood~of
such zone change or be detrimental or injurious to pro erty
and improvements in the neighborhood or the general we~fare
of the City. ',
The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends thatlthe City
Council enact the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit "A" maki~g effective
the recommended changes to the Zoning P•1ap. ',
