A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR
STREET SWEEPING SERVICES AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS
DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER
WHEREAS, the City Council has been presented with a request from staff to issue a
Request for Proposals (RFP) for street sweeping services within the City; and
WHEREAS, a one (1) year agreement from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011, with
three (3) one-year extensions upon mutual agreement of both parties, will provide for
street sweeping services throughout the City at a reduced frequency compared to the
previous contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves the issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for street sweeping
services, and authorizes the Public Works Director to execute an agreement with the
lowest responsible bidder in an amount not to exceed $72,000.
