A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C~
AUTHORIZING THE WEST VALLE
TO APPOINT THE SOUTHWEST 1
TO THE SILICON VALLEY REGIONAL
CIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AYORS AND MANAGERS GROUP
NTY AGENCIES BOARD MEMBER
ROPERABILITY AUTHORITY (SYRIA).
WHEREAS, all of the cities in Santa Clam ounty and the County of Santa Clara participate
in the Silicon Valley Regional Interopera ility Authority (SYRIA) under a Joint Powers
Agreement (JPA); and
WHEREAS, the JPA calls for one bo~rd member to represent the Southwest County
Agencies (Cupertino, Saratoga, Monte S re o, Los Gatos, and Campbell); and
WHEREAS, the West Valley Mayors arhd Managers Group is composed of these same
municipalities and makes a similar appoilnt ent to the VTA, it was suggested that it make
the appointment to SYRIA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEDIth t the City Council of the City of Campbell does
hereby authorize the West Valley Mayor's nd Managers Group to appoint the Southwest
County Agencies Board Member to the!, Silicon Valley Regional Interoperability Authority
(SYRIA).
