BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CAMP6ELL RECOMMENDING DENIAL OF A PROPOSED
AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL
PLAN FROM "COMMERCIAL" LAND USE TO "MEDIUM DENSITY
RESIDENTIAL" LAND USE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 64 N.
HARRISGN STREET (APFLICRTION OF MESSRS. SABER-MOTAMEDI,
GP 80-3).
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the
proposed amendment tc the Land Use Element of the General Plan from
"Commercial" to "Medium Density Residential" Land Use for property
known as 64 N. Harrison Street as per the application of Messrs. Saber-
Motamedi, filed in the office of the Planning Department on December 18,
1979 and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and
opponents, the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning
Commission does find as follows:
1. The proposed Medium Density Residential land use would not
be compatible with existing development in the area.
2. The proposed change is not in the best interest of the City
of Campbell.
3. The proposed use would be impacted by surrounding traffic
and noise problems.
4. It was felt this area should be studied more thoroughly
before a recommendation for change is implemented.
The Planning Commission does hereby adopt a Resolution recommending
that the City Council not adopt the ordinance attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" making effective the proposed amendments.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of April 1980 by the following
roll call vote:
