BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING
AMENDMENTS TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN FROM
LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR PROPERTIES KNOWN
AS 864, 880, 9I 5, 921, 920, & 930 S. SAN TOMAS AQU.INO ROAD;
1204 & 1207 SMITH AVENUE; AND 1256, 1260 & 1272 ELAM AVENUE
(GP 80-6).
After notification and public hearing as specified by Zaw on proposed City-
initiated amendments to the Land Use Element of the General Plan from Low
Density Residential to Commercial for properties known as 864, 880, 915,
921, 920, & 930 S. San Tomas Aquino Road; 1204 & 1207 Smith Avenue; and
1256, 1260 & 1272 Elam Avenue, and after presentation by the Planning
Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission
does find as follows:
Z. The proposed Commercial Zand use would be compatible with the
existing development.
2. The proposed changes are in the best interest of the City
of Campbell.
The Planning Commission does hereby adopt a resolution recommending that
the City Council adopt the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit "A" making
effective the proposed amendments.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of January, 1980 by the following roll
call vote:
