A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING SANDRA KAYE TERPKO FOR 30 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY
OF CAMPBELL UPON HER RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Sandra Kaye Terpko was hired by the City of Campbell on May 12, 1980,
as a Senior Clerk in the Finance Department; and,
WHEREAS, due to her outstanding performance, Sandra Terpko was promoted to
Account Clerk I I on March 21, 1988, and to Executive Assistant on February 11, 2008;
and,
WHEREAS, during her 30 years of tenure, Sandra Terpko had numerous Finance
Department responsibilities, including ambulance transport and other receivable billings;
supervising work experience students; preparing bank reconciliations; preparing monthly
investment reports; processing weekly accounts payable; preparing journal entries;
preparing and filing State regulatory reports; maintaining the fixed asset inventory;
auditing purchase orders; issuing and renewing business licenses; auditing City
revenues; maintaining system user accounts and daily backup tapes of City computer
servers; serving as backup for payroll processing; processing liability claims and
litigation together with the City's Risk Manager and coordination of the preparation of the
annual budget and comprehensive annual financial report documents; and
WHEREAS, Sandra Terpko, served as Vice President and Treasurer of the Campbell
Municipal Employees Association and also served on a number of auxiliary City
Committees including Annual Picnic and Holiday Luncheon Committees as well as
equipment selection committees (phones, copiers and voicemail systems); and,
WHEREAS, Sandra Terpko has been a valued and vital member of the Finance
Department staff who was responsible for coordinating department activities, meetings
and events; who ensured that all necessary supplies and services were available to
facilitate the full function of the department; and who served as the Executive Assistant
to the Finance Director.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to Sandra Kaye Terpko for her 30
years of exemplary service to the City, its staff and citizens and offers its best wishes for
a healthy, fulfilling and enjoyable retirement.
