A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING SENIOR BUILDING INSPECTOR FRANK P. MILLS ON
HIS 22 YEARS OF DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL
WHEREAS, Frank P. Mills, a graduate of University of San Francisco, was hired in August
1988 as a Building Inspector; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure, Frank P. Mills rose in the ranks of the Building Division staff
holding job titles from Building Inspector, Acting Building Official and Senior Building Inspector;
and
WHEREAS, Frank P. Mills has worked on nearly every major building permit project during the
past 22 years; performed thousands of plan reviews, issued thousands of permits, and
performed thousands of inspections; and
WHEREAS, Frank P. Mills helped many people navigate the building permit process, from
homeowners doing their first home improvements to experienced developers, all of whom
appreciated his professionalism, can-do attitude and ability to humanize the process while still
being careful to protect the interests of the community and bring projects to completion with all
parties pleased with the outcome; and
WHEREAS, Frank P. Mills is a member in good standing of the International Code Council
(ICC) and has been an active participant of the Campbell Municipal Employees Association,
having served as an officer on its board and member of its Negotiating Committee; and
WHEREAS, effective on June 30, 2010, Frank P. Mills will retire after a distinguished 22 year
professional career at City of Campbell.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell, do
hereby recognize Frank P. Mills for his valuable service and many contributions to the Building
Division in the City of Campbell, and wish him all the best in retirement.
