BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING PREZONING
OF PROPERTIES PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL, UNDER PROCEEDINGS KNOWN AS
ZC 79-3, TO C-1-S (NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL}
ZONING DISTRICT. (EDEN 1979-1A)
Whereas notification has been given and public hearing has been held
in the manner specified by law on the prezoning of property known as 1575
S. Winchester Boulevard, located at the southwest corner of W. Rosemary
Lane and S. Winchester Boulevard, under proceedings known as ZC 79-3 to
C-1-S (Neighborhood Commercial) Zoning.
After presentation by the Planning Director, proponents, and opponents,
the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning
Commission did find as follows:
1. The proposed C-1-S (Neighborhood Commercial) Zoning would be
consistent with the commercial development along Winchester
Boulevard.
2. The proposed zoning will not be detrimental to the health,
safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare of the
persons residing in the area or detrimental or injurious
to property and improvements in the neighborhood or the
general welfare of the city.
3. The proposed prezoning is consistent with the Land Use
Element of the General Plan.
The Planning Commission hereby recommends that the City Council adopt
the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit "A" making effective this proposed
zoning upon final annexation of the properties involved. ,.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of August, 1979, by the following
roll call vote:
