PC Res 1787RESOLUTION N0. 1787
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL DENYING THE APPLICATION
OF THELMA S. TORRES FORA USE PERMIT TO ALLOW A
DELI/SANDWICH SHOP ON PROPERTY KNOWN AS 3265 S.
WINCHESTER BLVD. IN AN INTERIM ZONING DISTRICT.
(UP 79-10).
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the
application of Thelma S. Torres for a use permit to allow a deli/sandwich
shop on property known as 3265 S. Winchester Blvd. in an Interim Zoning
District (UP 79-10), as per the application filed in the Office of the
Planning Department, 75 North Central Avenue, Campbell, California, on
March 22, 1979, and after presentation by the Planning Director, pro-
ponents and opponents, the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all the evidence presented, the Planning
Commission does find as follows:
1. That the establishment, maintenance, and operation of the
proposed use would be detrimental to the health, safety,
peace, morals, comfort and general welfare of the persons
residing or working in the neighborhood of such use, and be
detrimental to property and improvements in the neighborhood
and the general welfare of the City because the proposed use
is not compatible with the current or future plans for the
surrounding area and the impact of the traffic generated on
Winchester Boulevard would be detrimental.
Based on the above findings, the Planning Commission does deny the
application as hereinabove requested.
