PC Res 1786RESOLUTION NO. 1786 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL NOT ADOPT THE PROPOSED HISTORIC PRESERVATION ORDINANCE. After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the City-initiated amendment to Title 21 of the Campbell Municipal Code, to wit, the addition of Chapter 41, entitled "Historic Preservation", and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing was closed. After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission does find as follows: 1. That the wording of the proposed ordinance is too complex; 2. That no special board or committee should be established; 3. That technical assistance should be provided by administrative staff; and 4. That an Historical Zoning District should be established. Based on the above findings, the Planning Commission does recommend that the City Council not adopt the proposed Historic Preservation Ordinance. Passed and adopted this lst day of May, 1979, by the following roll call vote: AYES: Commissioners: Meyer, Dickson, Campos, Pack, Kasolas, Samuelson NOES: Commissioners: None ABSENT: Commissioners: Vierhus ABSTAIN: Commissioners: None APPROVED: Carl E.
