PC Res 1757RESOLUTION N0. 1757
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF PLANS, ELE-
VATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS OF
APPROVAL TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF FIVE SINGLE-FAMILY
DETACHED HOMES AT 1428 & 1440 W. HACIENDA AVENUE IN A
P-D (PLANNED DEVELOPMENT/LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL)
ZONING DISTRICT. (APPLICATION OF JACKSON HOMES,
ZC 78-15) .
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the
application of Jackson Homes ~ Thomas Jackson for approval of plans,
elevations, development schedule and conditions of approval for con-
struction of five single-family detached homes on property located at
1428 and 1440 W. Hacienda Avenue, as per the application filed in the
Office of the Planning Department, 75 N. Central Avenue, Campbell,
California on September 28, 1978, and after presentation by the
Planning Director, proponents, and opponents, the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all the evidence presented, the Planning
Commission did find as follows:
1. That the proposed construction of five single-family detached
homes would be compatible with the existing uses in the
immediate area and would be compatible with the Land Use
Element of the General Plan which indicates "Low Density
Residential."
2. This development is similar to recent approvals for zone
changes to P-D for single-family residential units.
3. The proposed zone change will not be detrimental to the
health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare
of the persons residing or working in the neighborhood of
such zone change, or be detrimental or injurious to property
and improvements in the neighborhood or the general welfare
of the City.
The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the
City Council enact the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit "A" making
effective the recommended zone change.
