PC Res 1710RESOLUTION N0. 1710
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF PLANS,
ELEVATIONS, DEVELOPMENT SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS OF
APPROVAL TO ALLOW CONSTRUCTION OF 20 TOWNHOMES AT
190 AND 200 UNION AVENUE IN A P-D (PLANNED DEVELOP-
MENT/~I~H DENSITY RESIDENTIAL) ZONING DISTRICT (APPLI-
CATION OF MESSRS. A. R. WOOLWORTH AND J. CHU, ZC 78-6).
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the
application of Messrs. A. R. Woolworth and J. Chu for approval of plans,
elevations, development schedule and conditions of approval for 20 town-
homes on property located at 190 and 200 Union Avenue, as per the appli-
cation filed in the office of the Planning Department, 75 N. Central
Avenue, Campbell, California on April 20, 1978 and after presentation by
the Planning Director, proponents, and opponents, the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning
Commission did find as follows:
1. That the proposed construction of 20 townhomes would be
compatible with the existing uses in the immediate area
and would be compatible with the Land Use Element of the
General Plan which indicates "High Density Residential."
2. This development is similar to recent approvals for zone
changes to P-D for townhouse developments.
3• The proposed zone change will not be detrimental to the
health, safety, peace, morals, comfort or general welfare
of the persons residing or working in the neighborhood of
such zone change, or be detrimental or injurious to
property and improvements in the neighborhood or the
general welfare of the City.
The Planning Commission of the City of Campbell recommends that the
City Council enact the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit "A" making
effective the recommended zone change.
