PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA
After,~notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed
amendments to the text of Title 21 (Zoning Ordinance) of the Campbell Municipal
Code to allow consideration for conversions of residential structures to
office or commercial uses (TA 78-1), and after presentation by the Planning
Director, proponents, and opponents, the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented and based upon
the following findings, the Commission did determine that there was a
significant need to amend Chapter 21.20, P-0 Professional Office Zoning
District; Chapter 21.22, C-1 Neighborhood Commercial Districts; Chapter
21.24, C-2 General Commercial District; Chapter 21.26, C-3 Central
Business District; Chapter 21.28.020, C-H Highway Commercial District;
and 21.64.080, Use of residence in P-0, C-C, C-1, C-2, C-3, and C-H
zoning district subject to a use permit, of the Campbell Municipal Code:
1. That the proposed amendment will make provisions
for use of existing structures, thereby saving our
natural resources.
2. That the proposed amendment will aid in the preserva-
tion of structures which may have historic or cultural
significance for the community.
3. That the proposed amendmentswill not be detrimental to
the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort, or general
welfare of persons residing or working in the neighborhood
of such proposed use, or be detrimental or injurious to
property and improvements in the neighborhood or to the
general welfare of the city.
The Planning Commission does hereby recommend that the City Council
adopt the ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit "A" enacting the necessary
legislation to make the proposed text amendment effective.

call vote:
