PC Res 1700RESOLUTION N0. 1700 BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING AMENDMENTS TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO LOW-MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL; FROM LOW-MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL; FROM HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL; AND FROM PROFESSIONAL OFFICE TO PROFESSIONAL OFFICE AND/OR MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR CERTAIN AREAS OF THE WHITEOAKS- BASCOM AREA OF THE COMMUNITY (GP 78-12, WHITEOAKS-BASCOM AREA). After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed City initiated amendments to the Land Use Element of the General Plan from "Medium Density Residential" to "Low-Medium Density Residential"; from "Low- Medium Density Residential" to "Low Density Residential"; from "High Density Residential" to "Medium Density Residential"; and from "Professional Office" to "Professional Office and/or Medium Density Residential" for certain areas of the Whiteoaks-Bascom Area of the Campbell community, and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing was closed. After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning Commission does find as follows: 1. The proposed Low-Medium Density Residential, Low Density Residential, Medium Density Residential and Professional Office and/or Medium Density Residential land uses would be compatible with the existing development. 2. The proposed changes are in the best interest of the city of Campbell. The Planning Commission does hereby adopt a Resolution recommending that the City Council adopt the Ordinance attached hereto as Exhibit "A" making effective the proposed amendments.
