PC Res 1697RESOLUTION N0. 1697
PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on
the application of Anthony Van Laarhoven, for a variance to allow
a reduction in the required side yard open space from 5' to 1'10"
to allow a room addition on property known as 285 S. Christopher
Avenue in a R-1 (Single Family) Zoning District, as per the appli-
cation filed in the office of the Planning Director on April 18,
1978, and after presentation by the Planning Director, the hearing
was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Com-
mission did find as follows:
1. The property is not unique and can be used
without this variance.
2. The hardship is not unusual and applies equally to
other lots.
3. The particular hardship claimed by applicant
was self-imposed.
The Planning Commission does hereby deny the variance as
requested.
