PC Res 1671RESOLUTION N0. 1671
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AMENDMENTS
TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN FOR PROPERTIES
CURRENTLY INDICATED AS "PROPOSED WEST VALLEY FREEWAY" IN
THE VICINITY OF MOZART AVENUE. (GP 78-3)
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed
amendments to the Land Use Element of the General Plan, and after presen-
tation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents, the hearing
was closed.
After due consideration of alt the evidence presented, the Planning
Commission did find as follows:
1. Properties fronting on Bascom Avenue could develop as
professional offices or Medium Density Residential and
be compatible with surrounding land uses.
2. Properties fronting on Mozart Avenue could develop as
Low Density Residential and be compatible with surrounding
land uses.
3. That said Professional Office and Low Density Residential
land uses provide the best alternative land uses to the
proposed West Valley Freeway.
4. That said Professional Office and Low Density Residential
land uses are in the best interests of the City of Campbell.
Based on the above findings, the Planning Commission does hereby
recommend that the City Council adopt the attached ordinance, amending
the Land Use Element of the General Plan as shown in Exhibit "A".
