PC Res 1670RESOLUTION N0. 1670
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING THAT THE ZONING ON
PROPERTIES KNOWN AS 3545, 3555, 3595, 3645, AND 3675
SOUTH BASCOM AVENUE, CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA REMAIN IN
AN R-3-S ZONING DISTRICT. (ZC 78-1)
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on proposed
city-initiated amendments to the Zoning Map from R-3-S (High Density
Residential) to P-D (High Density Residential) for properties known as
3545, 3555, 3595, 3645, and 3675 South Bascom Avenue, Campbell, California
and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents and opponents,
the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all the evidence presented, the Planning
Commission did find as follows:
1. The proposed zone change from R-3-S to P-D for the subject
properties would serve no purpose at this time.
2. There are applications already pending under the R-3-S
zoning that could be hindered by a zone change to P-D.
3. The proposed zone change would not be in the best
interest of the City of Campbell and may be harmful
or injurious to property and improvements in the
neighborhood.
Based upon the above findings, the Planning Commission does hereby
recommend that the City Council not change the zoning on the subject
properties from R-3-S to P-D for the subject properties.
