PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA
Being a Resolution of the Planning Commission of the City of Campbell
recommending that the Circulation Element of the General Plan be amended
to include a policy statement regarding Historic Preservation (GP 78-g).
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on said
proposed amendment, and after presentation by the Planning Director,
proponents and opponents, the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Planning
Commission did find as follows:
1. The establishment of said policy statement will not be
detrimental to the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort
or general welfare of the citizens of Campbell.
2. The proposed statement is consistent with the expressed
desires of the City Council, and the Historic Preservation
Legislative Committee.
Based on the above findings, the Planning Commission did recommend
adoption of the following policy statement:
It is the policy of the City of Campbell that whenever possible
future street improvements and construction shall be compatible
with buildings, sites, and natural features which have been
designated by the City Council as having historic or cultural
significance for the community.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of January 1978, by the following
roll call vote:
