PLANNING COMMISSION
CI1Y OF CAMPBELL, CALIFORNIA
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the
application of Sister Geraldine Harris fora use permit to allow a small
family residential care home (six or less persons in need of care) on
property known as 100 El Caminito Avenue in a R-1 Zoning District, as per
application filed in the office of the Planning Department on February 9,
1977, and after presentation by the Planning Director, proponents, and
opponents, the hearing was closed.
After due consideration of all evidence presented, the Commission
did find as follows:
1. That the State Legislature has made the determination that
uses such as this are compatible with single family residential
districts and are not harmful or' cle~trimental to the surrounding
neighborhood.
2. That the attached conditions of the use permit are necessary
to insure the safety of the residents.
Based on the above findings, the Planning Commission does hereby grant
the requested use permit subject to the following conditions:
1. Provide an Ionization Smoke Detector in sleeping area.
2. Obtain a Fire Department permit to operate a residential care
home.
3. Provide one "2A-10BC" fire extinguisher.
4. Provide a floor plan to the Fire Department.
5. Dwelling is restricted to six ambulatory guests.
6. The project shall be reviewed in six months by the Planning
Commission.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 15th day of March, 1977, by the following
roll call vote:
