A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING SOLICITATION OF BIDS
AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR ONE CHEVROLET HYBRID HALF-TON
PICKUP TRUCK FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE DIVISION
WHEREAS, replacement of one (1) Public Works half-ton pickup truck is funded in the
FY 2010/11 Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Budget; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City of Campbell's Purchasing Policy, because the
equipment's estimated fair market value is greater than $25,000, the formal bid process
must be used; and
WHEREAS, the current Public Works half-ton pickup truck is scheduled for
replacement; and
WHEREAS, a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 half-ton hybrid pickup truck has been identified
as a suitable replacement for the existing half-ton pickup truck currently in use; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting the purchase of one (1) Chevrolet Silverado 1500 half-
ton hybrid pickup truck not to exceed $39,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approves the
specifications, authorizes the solicitation of bids, and authorizes the Public Works
Director to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder for one (1) Chevrolet
Silverado 1500 half-ton hybrid pickup truck in an amount not to exceed $39,000.
