A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING JIMMIE F. SPENCE FOR ELEVEN YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Jimmie Spence was hired by the City of Campbell on
November 9, 1992, as a Temporary Mechanic and after almost seven years was
appointed as a Mechanic II; and
WHEREAS, Jimmie Spence has been commended by his supervisor for his
great customer service, attention to detail, diagnostic repair techniques and attention to
safety; and
WHEREAS, Jimmie Spence has been commended by our Police Department for
the special interest he takes in dealing with trouble calls for our police units and
equipment; and
WHEREAS, Jimmie Spence has been commended for his flexibility, reliability to
the get the job done, his work ethic and going above and beyond the call of duty; and
WHEREAS, Jimmie Spence has assisted in the maintenance of over 350 pieces
of equipment, not including the vintage and special units owned and operated by the
City; and
WHEREAS, Jimmie Spence is a valued employee who others have a great deal
of respect for, and he was mentioned as one of the reasons the shop is so successful in
reaching its goal of providing excellent customer service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby expresses its appreciation to Jimmie Spence for eleven years of loyal
and valuable service and best wishes for a fulfilling retirement.
