A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT WITH SYSERCO INTEGRATED
BUILDING SYSTEMS FOR AN ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM UPGRADE
AT THE CAMPBELL COMMUNITY CENTER
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell received an allocation of $163,700 through the
Federal Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (EECBG) program; and
WHEREAS, one of the projects identified in the City's EECBG grant application
was the Energy Management System at the Campbell Community Center; and
WHEREAS, staff has determined through solicitation of informal proposals and
quotations that an upgrade of the existing Alerton Energy Management System is the
most cost effective method of achieving the energy efficiency objectives of the EECBG
program; and
WHEREAS, Syserco Integrated Building Systems is the sole authorized Northern
California Distributor of Alerton Energy Management Systems; and
WHEREAS, a sole source procurement is permissible under EECBG guidelines.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, authorizes the Public Works Director to
negotiate and award a contract with Syserco Integrated Building Systems for an
upgrade to the existing Campbell Community Center Energy Management System in an
amount not to exceed $65,000.
