BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A
ZONE CHANGE FROM C-2-S (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) TO C-1-S
(NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT
1800 W. CAMPBELL AVENUE AND 75 S. SAN TOMAS AQUINO
ROAD. FILE NO. ZC 95-04.
After notification and public hearing as specified by law on the City-initiated
application for approval of a Zone Change from C-2-S (General Commercial) to C-1-S
(Neighborhood Commercial) on property located at 1800 W. Campbell Avenue and 75
S. San Tomas Aquino Road and after presentation by the Planning Staff, proponents
and opponents, the hearing was closed.
The Planning Commission finds as follows with regard to file ZC 95-04:
1. The proposed zoning will be consistent with the Land Use Element of the General
Plan.
The C-1-S (Neighborhood Commercial) Zoning District will establish a consistent
zoning designation for this frontage along W. Campbell Avenue and throughout
the shopping center.
3. The proposed zoning is compatible to adjacent zoning designations.
No substantial evidence has been presented which shows that the project, as
currently presented and subject to the required conditions, would have an adverse
impact on the environment.
5. No evidence has been presented which shows that the project will have a
substantial impact on plant or animal life.
Based upon the foregoing findings of fact, the Planning Commission recommends the
granting of a Negative Declaration and concludes:
1. The development and uses are compatible with the General Plan of the City and
will aid in the harmonious development of the immediate area.
