A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING CALL FOR BIDS
FOR THE PURCHASE OF A REPLACMENT PAINT TRUCK WITH ASSEMBLY
WHEREAS, the existing paint truck is twenty years old and has reached the end of its
useful life; and
WHEREAS, the paint truck is one of the primary units utilized in the Streets Section. It
provides the ability for the painting of all required traffic lines and legends and is the
primary maintenance response vehicle for emergency traffic control; and
WHEREAS, the adopted Fiscal Year 2010/11 Budget has appropriated funds for its
replacement; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting the purchase of a paint truck not to exceed $66,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approve the
specifications and the call for bids for the replacement paint truck with assembly.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the Public Works
Superintendent to award the contract for procurement of this equipment to the lowest
responsible bidder within the approved budget.
