A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL COMMENDING
JOANNE D'AMBROSIA FOR TWENTY YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL UPON HER RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Joanne D'Ambrosia was hired by the City of Campbell on July 1, 1991 as a
part time clerk typist in the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, Joanne D'Ambrosia was promoted to full time Principal Clerk in Feb 1996, to
Senior Office Assistant in July 2002, and reclassified to Office Specialist in July 2005; and
WHEREAS, Joanne D'Ambrosia was responsible for setting up and maintaining the
consultant and contractor database, whereby all interested contractors and consultants
were notified of upcoming projects; and
WHEREAS, Joanne's responsibilities over the years included the handling of all
encroachment permits, checking insurance for all contractors, processing all invoices for
payment, answering phones and helping customers at the counter; and
WHEREAS, Joanne D'Ambrosia helped the department complete many significant projects
such as the Heritage Theatre, John D. Morgan Park, Campbell Park, Burrows Road and
Westmont Avenue Reconstruction, and also helped the City permit various land
development projects such as the Kohl's site, the Fry's Electronics site, and numerous
housing projects; and
WHEREAS, Joanne D'Ambrosia not only provided excellent support to the engineering and
inspection staff, through her diligence and dedication to the City she provided exceptional
service to the residents and business owners in Campbell, taking on their concerns and
helping to resolve issues with compassion and concern.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does
hereby express its appreciation to Joanne D'Ambrosia for twenty years of loyal and valuable
service and offers best wishes for a fulfilling retirement.
