RESOLUTION NO. 9598
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT
TO CONTRACT WITH LUCENT TECHNOLOGIES
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell and Lucent Technologies have entered
into a contract for Police Department computer and telecommunications systems;
WHEREAS, the contract states that mobile computing hardware is to be
purchased from Lucent Technologies through an amendment to the contract;
WHEREAS, Lucent Technologies has proposed a contract amendment to
include the provision of a wireless data network and mobile computer hardware;
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed the proposed contract amendment and
recommends that products and services provided under the amendment will
meet the needs of the City of Campbell in a cost-effective manner;
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has been presented with a request from
staff to authorize the execution of an amendment to the City's contract with
Lucent Technologies;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the Police Department be authorized to approve and execute a
contract amendment with Lucent Technologies for a wireless data network and
mobile computer hardware.
