RESOLUTION NO. 9600
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING LYNN M. PENOYER FOR THIRTY YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Lynn M. Penoyer was hired by the City of Campbell on November 24, 1969; and
WHEREAS, during her thirty years of service Lynn Penoyer has had seven titles, serving 20
years in the Engineering Division of Public Works, 10 years in the Maintenance Division of Public
Works; and since 1992 as Public Works Superintendent; and
WHEREAS, Lynn Penoyer was instrumental in setting up the City's first pavement management
information system; and
WHEREAS, Lynn Penoyer has served as the Public Works staff advisor to the Parks and
Recreation Commission; and
WHEREAS, Lynn Penoyer currently oversees maintenance of the City's streets, sidewalks, parks,
medians and street trees, traffic signals and street lights, and vehicles and equipment, and swallow aviary;
and
WHEREAS, of the current City staff, Lynn Penoyer is the third longest tenured City employee;
and
WHEREAS, Lynn Penoyer's commitment reached new heights when she married a fellow Public
Works employee;
WHEREAS, Lynn Penoyer was recognized by the City Council on October 19, 1999, as the San
Francisco Bay Area Chapter Maintenance Superintendents Association 1999 Public Works
Superintendent of the Year;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
expresses its appreciation to Lynn M. Penoyer for thirty years of loyal and valuable service and best
wishes to continued success and achievement.
