RESOLUTION NO. 9507 and 1999-3
A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY BOARD AND CITY OF CAMPBELL CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION BY THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF A 6,958 SQUARE FOOT P ARCEL AT 271 & 275 GRANT STREET (APN:
279-40-020) FROM THE CITY OF CAMPBELL FOR THE FAIR MARKET
PRICE OF $275,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONVEYING THE PROPERTY
TO SILICON VALLEY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF TWO AFFORDABLE SINGLE FAMILY DWELLINGS.
WHEREAS, the Campbell Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency")is responsible
for redevelopment ofthe Central Campbell Project Area (the "Project Area") pursuant to
the Second Amended and Restated Central Campbell Redevelopment Plan (the
"Redevelopment Plan"), as amended; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell (the "City") owns the vacant property on
Grant Street (APN: 279-40-020) (the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Agency desires to cause the development of the Property with
two (2) single family homes affordable to low income households (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the Agency has selected Silicon Valley Habitat for Humanity (the
"Developer") to serve as the developer of the Property; and
WHEREAS, the Agency is entering into a Disposition and Development
Agreement (the "DDA") with the Developer, substantially in the form on file with the
City Clerk, under which the Developer agrees to develop the Project on the Property; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 33391, through the
DDA, the Agency is acquiring the Property from the City, and pursuant to Health and
Safety Code Section 33433, through the DDA the Agency is conveying the property to
the Developer; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to sell the property for fair market value to the
Redevelopment Agency; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that jointly the Campbell Agency
Board and Campbell City Council hereby approves the acquisition by the Redevelopment
Agency of a 6,958 square foot parcel at 217 & 275 Grant Street from the City of
Campbell for the fair market price of $275,000 for the purpose of conveying the property
to Silicon Valley Habitat for Humanity for the construction of two affordable single
family dwellings.
