RESOLUTION NO. 9508 and 1999-4
A JOINT RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY BOARD AND CITY OF CAMPBELL CITY COUNCIL
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A DISPOSITION AND DEVELOPMENT
AGREEMENT WITH SILICON VALLEY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY FOR
THE CONVEYANCE OF A 6,958 SQUARE FOOT PARCEL AND THE
CONSTRUCTION OF TWO AFFORDABLE SINGLE FAMILY HOUSES AT
271 & 275 GRANT STREET (APN: 279-40-020)
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell Redevelopment Agency (the "Agency"), is
responsible for redevelopment of the Central Campbell Project Area (the "Project Area")
pursuant to the Second Amended and Restated Central Campbell Redevelopment Plan
(the "Redevelopment Plan"), as amended; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell (the "City") owns the vacant property on
Grant Street (APN: 279-40-020) (the "Property"); and
WHEREAS, the Agency desires to cause the development of the Property with
two (2) single family houses affordable to very-low income households; and
WHEREAS, the Agency has selected Silicon Valley Habitat for Humanity (the
"Developer") to serve as the developer of the Project on the Property; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to sell the property to the Agency for fair market
value and the Agency will convey the property to the Developer for an affordable housing
project; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 33433, the Agency is
entering into a Disposition and Development Agreement (the "DDA") with the
Developer, substantially in the form on file with the City Clerk, under which the
Developer agrees to develop the Property in compliance with the terms and conditions as
set forth; and
WHEREAS, the Project is consistent with the City's General Plan, applicable
zoning requirements, and the Redevelopment Plan, and will promote the goals and
objectives of the Redevelopment Plan to revitalize the Project Area and provide
affordable housing; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that jointly the City of Campbell
Redevelopment Agency Board and the City of Campbell City Council approves the DDA
and all ancillary documents; approves execution by the Executive Director ofthe DDA
and ancillary documents in substantially the form on file with the City Clerk, and
approves the grant of the Property by the Agency pursuant to the provisions of the DDA,
including the condition that the Developer first obtain the Planning Approvals (which
may be granted or denied in the City's policy discretion).
