RESOLUTION NO. 9513
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SUBMIT
AN APPLICATION FOR TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT (TDA)
FUNDS FOR THE LEIGH AVENUE BIKE FACILITY PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell, Santa Clara County, and the City of San Jose have
worked cooperatively to develop a bike facility plan for Leigh Avenue between the Los Gatos
Creek Trail and Curtner Avenue that is supported by local residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has guaranteed TDA funds available to fund its
portion of the project; and
WHEREAS, the project has been endorsed by the City Bicycle Advisory Committee
and is on the City of San Jose Bike Plan; and
WHEREAS, the ability to obtain funding approval requires City Council endorsement
of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the Public Works Director is hereby authorized to submit a TDA grant
application to the Valley Transportation Authority to implement the City's portion of the Leigh
Avenue bike facility project.
