RESOLUTION NO. 9530
BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL AMENDING AND AUTHORIZING
A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION OF CONTRACT 99-01,
ANNUAL STREET SWEEPING, WITH PIAZZA MOBIL SWEEPING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell by Resolution No. 9386 dated June
2, 1998, authorized the award of Contract SC 99-01, Annual Street Sweeping, to Piazza Mobil
Sweeping for a term from July 1, 1998, through June 30, 1999; and,
WHEREAS, the contract allows for up to two (2) additional one-year extensions based
upon mutual agreement between the City and the Contractor as to modified terms and
compensation; and,
WHEREAS, an amendment to the dust control provision of the Special Provisions would
result in improved control of contract performance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes a one-year extension of Contract 99-01, Annual Street Sweeping, to Piazza Mobil
Sweeping for the mutually agreed upon compensation of $12.71 per regularly scheduled curb mile
and $52.50 per hour for unscheduled or emergency call-back sweeping; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
amends Section 3, Sweeping Services, of the Special Provisions of SC 99-01, Annual Street
Sweeping, as follows:
3-12 Dust Control - The proper volume and pressure of water will be supplied by the sweeper and
shall be in good working condition at all times to adequately control dust during the sweeping
operation. The Contractor shall forfeit as a penalty One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for every
five valid dust complaints received by the City of Campbell.
