RESOLUTION NO. 9539
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF CAMPBELL MODIFYING THE SCHEDULE OF
FEES AND CHARGES
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell Financial Policies require an annual evaluation
of the Schedule of Fees and Charges to ensure that recovery of the cost of providing services is
recovered where appropriate; and
WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of the City of Campbell
a Schedule of Fees and Charges for Fiscal Year 1999-00; and
WHEREAS, all of the required legal notices have been published pursuant to
Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby adopts the attached
modifications to the Schedule of Fees and Charges to be paid to the City of Campbell by all
persons desiring to obtain those items or services contained in the attached Fee Schedule
effective August 1, 1999;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution be made an addendum to
the City Council Policy Manual.

All fees and charges are based on room rental rates, administrative costs, preparation and set-
up, staff supervision of event, and custodial clean-up. The fees and charges set forth here are
NOT negotiable and remain unchanged from FY 98/99.
Facility Rental Fee Schedule
A. Facility rental fees for uses occurring during normal operations hours (Monday
through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
except on recognized City holidays) are as follows:

C. Decoratin~ Time
All decorating time that is scheduled separate from the reception time, will be
charged at 1/2 the above rate. EXAMPLE: If your reception is scheduled from
2:00 to 7:00 p.m., and you come in to decorate from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., those
two hours of decorating will be charged at 1/2 the applicable rate stated above.
(Group 3 Decorating time in Orchard City Hall = $40/hour, Group 4
Decorating Time in Orchard City Hall = $50/hour).
D. PROCESSING FEES
1. All applications are subject to a non-refundable $25 Processing
Fee. This fee is designed to cover administrative time required
to received, receipt, log and schedule your use.
2. Any changes in time or date(s) or use made to a multi-use permit
or made less than thirty (30) days prior to a one-time use are
subject to an additional $25 Processing Fee. This additional fee
covers the staff time required to modify facility use calendars and
staff schedules
E. ADDITIONAL CHARGES
1. Uses which extend beyond the approved reserved time will be
charged at 11/2 times the normal rental rate.
2. Uses which extend beyond midnight will be charged at two (2)
times the normal rental rate.
3. Reservations for recognized City holidays are subject to
additional fees to cover staff holiday pay (11/2 times the normal
rental rate).
F. DEPOSITS
1. Refundable cleaning/damage/security deposits are required for
the following uses in the following amounts:
a) Major Uses of Banquet Halls & Kitchen
b) Uses of Activity or Meeting Rooms
c) Uses of Gymnasiums or Locker Rooms

2. The City reserves the right to deduct from the damage deposit
additional charges relating to, but not limited to, janitorial
services, maintenance/repair services, staff supervisor's time, or
emergency services that were required as a result of your use.

3. Deposits may be fully or partially withheld for any of the
following reasons:
a) Facility uses fees for time used in excess of that reserved.
b) Damage to facility or equipment.
c) Misuse of the Community Center (Refer to Item F-3 in
Section V).
d) Inadequate clean-up by permittee, requiring additional
custodial time/services after your use.
4. If additional fees due exceed the amount of deposit, permittee
will be billed for the balance.
5. Deposits, less any applicable additional charges, will be
processed through the City's Finance Department, approved by
the City Council, and returned to the permitted by mail within 30
days of the date of their event.
6. It is the permittee's responsibility to keep the Campbell
Community Center office staff informed of any address or
telephone changes.

Group tours will generally be available from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday -
Sunday. Tour must be booked two weeks in advance.
Evening tours and special request by individual cases.
School tours available Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Tour must
be booked two weeks in advance.
*For every eight (8) children, one (1) adult chaperon is required.
J. FACILITY USE WAIVER
Use of the facility for any purpose other than those specified in this Facility Use
Policy must be petitioned through written request to the Museum
Director/Historical Resources Supervisor. Such requests must outline intended
modifications or changes in detail demonstrating compliance with rules,
regulations and policy as stated above. Petitions for such FACILITY USE
WAIVER are subject to review by the Campbell City Council. The City
Council shall have the final authority to waive or modify rules or regulations.
Any and all requests/variances are considered individually, and are not
automatically applied as a matter of precedent to future similar uses.

K. PICNIC AREA, ATHLETIC FIELD & STADIUM FEE SCHEDULE
Group 1 Programs and activities administered or sponsored by the City of
Campbell. (No Charge)
Group 2 Programs and activities offered by Campbell Schools, Campbell
Churches, Campbell Service Clubs, Campbell Youth Sports
Leagues, Campbell Youth Clubs, Campbell Scout Groups and
Campbell Adult Groups. (See Fees Listed Below)
Group 3 Private meetings, groups and parties such as wedding receptions,
anniversary parties, or other social, recreational, or cultural
activities for which there are no entry fees for participation or
attendance, as well as fund-raisers sponsored by non-profit
organizations. (See Fees Listed Below)
Group 4 Meetings, seminars, parties, auctions or other events in which an
entry fee is collected/charged or funds are raised by or for
business or commercial purposes. (See Fees Listed Below)
To qualify for resident rates you must provide proof of residency by showing two of the
following:
a) A valid California Drivers License;
b) Name and Address Imprinted on Personal or Business Check;
c) Recent Utility Bill with your name on it.

O. Administrative Review Fee would cover the costs associated with the
application review and follow up with the applicant on required materials
(eg.: insurance, liquor license, security, etc.) and preparation of related report
materials.
P. Application Processing Fee would cover all costs associated with routing the
application to appropriate departments, scheduling the event, duplicating and
mailing expenses.
Q. Campbell Resident Organization one in which the majority of members reside
in the Campbell City Limits (51 %) or which uses Campbell as its central
operating base.
R. Special Event Permit Fee - Alcohol Serviced would cover the costs associated
with the day(s) of the event (eg.: trash pick up, barricade installation/removal,
utilities coordination, minimal security).
S. Street Closure Fee would cover the cost of Police and Public Works personnel
associated with closing the streets.
