RESOLUTION NO. 9484
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)
FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES, APPROVAL OF THE NAMING PROCESS AND APPROVING
A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT FOR THE WINCHESTER DRIVE-IN SITE PARK
WHEREAS, the Campbell Redevelopment Agency has retained four acres of the former
Winchester Drive-In site for use as a City park; and
WHEREAS, the City's Park Improvement Implementation Plan (PUP) does not address the
potential for a new park at this site; and
WHEREAS, the new park needs a name; and
WHEREAS, completion of design and construction within the schedule established in the
Disposition and Development Agreement (DDA) requires that the project begin as soon as possible;
and
WHEREAS, staff has prepared the attached budget adjustment to allocate funds to begin the
project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the issuance of a Request for Proposals for consultant services for the Winchester
Drive-In Site park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby approves
the naming process for the Winchester Drive-In park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby approves
the attached budget adjustment in the amount of $750,000 from the proceeds of the sale of the
Winchester Drive-In site.
